Securing the future of
Mansfield Bowling Club
As you may already be aware,
proposals are being prepared at the Club for a small scale residential
development to generate necessary funds to secure the future of the Club and
provide an improved leisure and community offering to the local area.
The Club is in a poor state of
repair and has been struggling financially for several years. Without
significant funding to undertake our proposed refurbishment of the Club we will
be forced to close this year. The funds generated from the enabling residential
development would be used to fully refurbish the Club and make it accessible to
all users including the young, elderly and disabled.
To ensure our long term survival we are proposing to widen
the Club's leisure and community facilities by providing new multi-functional
indoor space that can be used for a range of health and fitness activities, as
well as to host larger group meetings, events and parties. Outside we are
considering several options - two new upgraded tennis courts or a multi-use
games area as well as a new concept gym area and an attractive landscaped
garden.
Following pre-application
planning advice from Camden Council, which is currently being incorporated into
our proposals, we are continuing to spread the word about the Club's proposed
community offer.
To inform the local community
about the emerging proposals, we are hosting a public consultation event at the
Club on Wednesday 16th May, 4pm - 8pm. This will be an opportunity for people to view the
proposals and share their views with us.

presentation material by clicking on this link.
We would welcome feedback from
the local community on the emerging proposals. Please send your feedback and
any other comments or questions to info@iceniprojects.com.
